Keiro’s Nikkei Senior Network (NSN), established in 2006, connects leaders from churches, temples, senior groups, and community centers that support older adults and caregivers in Our Community. They meet on a quarterly basis to discuss a variety of topics such as program activities, membership engagement, emergency preparedness, advance planning, and upcoming events and opportunities.

Through these ongoing conversations, NSN fosters collaboration, strengthens individual programs, and builds relationships across Los Angeles, Orange, and Ventura counties. Ultimately, the bonds built among these organizations extends Keiro’s mission to enhance the quality of life for older adults in Our Community.

Voices of NSN Leaders

Keiro’s NSN is an excellent networking resource…following advice from Wintersburg Presbyterian Church, we conducted our first senior-focused fire drill in over 100 years, carefully preparing evacuation procedures for seniors, especially those who use wheelchairs, and we are grateful to Keiro for supporting NSN and promoting a high quality of life for seniors.
– Sam, Anaheim Revive Church

Through the Nikkei Senior Network, we have collaborated with other community leaders by sharing program ideas, best practices, and resources…
We consider NSN a strong partnership that supports successful strategies for seniors, and by sharing experiences, including scam prevention resources, we saved time and effort in planning our own programs.
– Amy, Dorothy, and Rumi, Orange County Buddhist Church

The information that was and is shared in the NSN has helped start our church Senior Ministry. The common purpose of serving the seniors in our community makes this Network a rich source of encouragement for valuable awareness and relevant programs to meet the needs of our many senior treasures.
– Dave, Crossroads Church Senior Ministry Committee Member

With this invaluable platform, we are able to interact with other organizations sharing ideas, information, and insights, allowing us to improve for the future.
– Linda, Southeast Japanese School & Community Center
