Donor-advised funds (DAFs) provide a thoughtful and flexible way to give back. With a DAF, you may receive an immediate tax benefit while choosing when and how to support the causes that matter most to you. DAFs are easy to manage, available at a variety of giving levels, and can be funded with cash, stock, or other assets — often helping you avoid capital gains taxes. Over time, your gift can grow tax-free, allowing your generosity to care for Our Community and future generations. Please consult your financial or tax advisor to learn more.
Qualified Charitable Distributions
A qualified charitable distribution (QCD) is a distribution of funds from your (taxable) IRA directly to a qualified charitable organization, such as Keiro.
A qualified charitable distribution (QCD) is a distribution of funds from your (taxable) IRA directly to a qualified charitable organization, such as Keiro.
Also called IRA charitable distributions or IRA charitable rollovers, a QCD allows individuals who are 70 ½ years old or older to donate up to $111,000 total to non-profit organizations instead of taking the minimum distributions. If you are required to take a minimum distribution but do not need it for daily expenses, a QCD from your IRA can be a meaningful way to support charitable organizations.
