About the Expert:
Dr. Komatsu is currently the Medical Director of Doak Center for Palliative Care at Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center in Torrance and San Pedro. In 2017, he helped launch Iyashi Care in partnership with Keiro, which provides community-based palliative care services for the Japanese American and Japanese communities in Los Angeles and Orange Counties. Dr. Komatsu has been very interested in improving the quality of care for patients and families and mitigating caregiver burnout in health care.
