Getting the Most Out of Your Favorite Foods

This presentation will discuss common food challenges we may face as we age and how we can get the most out of our favorite foods. Throughout the presentation, we will explore strategies to maximize the nutrition in your favorite Japanese dishes. We will break down some common dishes like curry, hamburger steak, and mochi to see what they already contain nutritionally and how we can add more health benefits with just a few steps.
Kristine Yada, MS, RDN
Kristine is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) who focuses on functional nutritional wellness in the Asian American population. She is passionate about empowering others to maximize their eating experience to be nutritious and delicious. Kristine has also worked to infuse her knowledge of nutrition back into her community by advising projects such as Nutrition Bites with Coach Kristine at the Orange County Buddhist Church Chibiko Youth Basketball Program and the Nutrition for Newbies Gold Award Project at Tanaka Farms: Walk the Farm. She is also the founder of KEY Nutrition Counseling, a personalized counseling program for those looking to incorporate healthy eating into any lifestyle.
