Event registrants will receive a link to a form to further select their preference for their clinic session on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendees will be pre-assigned a spot based on their survey results. Those who have not submitted a survey will be placed into any available slot. Clinics will be 30 minutes each. Attendees will only be allowed to participate in one clinic. Topics and titles of the clinics are subject to change.
Clinic Topics:
- Beginners:
- Fundamentals of Pickleball I – This clinic will cover the basics of pickleball, including rules and how to play, for those who may just be getting started or have no experience to try out.
- Intermediate:
- Fundamentals of Pickleball II – This clinic is designed for improving players who have some experience with pickleball but need to reinforce their understanding of the fundamentals. The clinic will focus on refining key skills and techniques to build a solid foundation for your game, including dinking and basic positioning.
- Advanced:
- Specialty Shots (By Coach Susan) – This clinic will teach advanced individuals a few of the specialty shots and how to shoot them.
- Overhead Shots (By Coach Susan) – This clinic will cover how to use overhead shots and why they would be effective.
- Effective, Injury-free Play (By Coach Susan) – Injury for pickleball can be serious. This clinic will teach advanced players how to play effectively and learn moves that aim to be injury-free.
- Effective Footwork (By Coach Ken) – Developing proper footwork is essential for players to maintain control and efficiency on the court. This clinic will teach safe, strategic footwork techniques that maximize mobility and stability, especially in situations where backpedaling is restricted.
- Decision Making (By Coach Ken)- Elevate the game by being intentional and by improving shot selection. This clinic will help intermediate to advanced players understand when to use hard vs. soft shots, allowing players to make better decisions under pressure and outsmart their opponents.
- Mastering the Transition Zone (By Coach Ken) – The transition zone is a pivotal area on the court. In this clinic, intermediate to advanced level players will learn how to effectively navigate and use the transition zone to gain a strategic advantage, setting up winning shots and controlling the flow of the game.
