KEIRO STATEMENT REGARDING

Bruce T. Kaji and Frances M. Kaji 1982 Trust v. Keiro Services

Many of you have heard that Jonathan Kaji has initiated a putative class action lawsuit on behalf of his father Bruce T. Kaji and his mother Frances M. Kaji 1982 Trust.

The lawsuit is accusing Keiro of:

  1. Fraud
  2. Negligent Misrepresentation
  3. Unfair Business Practices- Business and Professions Code 17200, et seq
  4. Preliminary and Permanent Injunction.

According to Mr. Kaji’s attorneys, the core issue in this case is whether Keiro solicited donations to support its managed care facilities for elderly Japanese Americans at a time when Keiro knew, but did not disclose, it intended to sell those facilities and stop providing care facilities completely.

These allegations are not true and have no merit. We want to let our supporters know that our mission has been and continues to be to enhance the quality of senior life in Our Community. We will continue to look for ways to improve our services to our senior community through health education, grant making, community partnerships and collaboration.

We have communicated to Mr. Kaji’s attorneys that we will fight these false and egregious allegations.
