Looking ahead, Keiro promises to be here for the generations to come — empowering Our Community to age with confidence, purpose, and connection. What began as senior residential care has grown into an organization that supports older adults, caregivers, and families throughout every stage of aging. Keiro established the Institute for Healthy Aging (IHA) in 2006 to support older adults and caregivers aging through educational classes, events, and conferences.
Responding to Community Needs
In addition to new programs and events community members experience today, Keiro has adapted several past offerings to support aging in the community, wherever they call home:
Vitality Forums ⮕ Virtual Keiro Forums ⮕ Quality of Life Classes
From educational forums and evidence-based wellness workshops to virtual learning that kept the community connected during the COVID-19 pandemic, each program iteration reflected Keiro’s commitment to meeting people where they were. Today, Quality of Life Classes continue that legacy by offering engaging educational classes that empower older adults and caregivers, both online and in person.

Women’s Wellness Conference ⮕ Keiro Symposium ⮕ Active Aging Fair ⮕ Genki Living Workshops
From the Women’s Wellness Conference to the Active Aging Fair, Keiro continually reimagined how older adults could discover new ways to stay healthy and engaged. Today, Genki Living Workshops transform those experiences into immersive, hands-on opportunities that inspire participants to embrace aging with confidence and joy.

Caregiver Conference ⮕ Two Caregiver Conferences per Year
What began as a single gathering back in 2001 has grown into biannual regional conferences bringing education, trusted experts, and local resources closer to caregivers. By expanding its reach, Keiro continues to foster connections where caregivers have access to resources to navigate their unique journeys.

Continued Expansion and Beyond
Building on 65 years of service to Our Community, Keiro is proud to share our commitments for 2027 and beyond:
Together, these commitments reflect Keiro’s continued promise to build a community where everyone, across generations, can live a healthier and more fulfilling life both at home and in the community.
