This culturally-sensitive session is designed to help you feel more empowered and prepared when navigating the medical system and relationships with your health care team. Submit your questions during registration for Dr. Komatsu to address. \n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nExample Questions: \n\n\n\n\nHow can I best prepare for a doctor’s visit with my loved one?\n\n\n\nWhat should I do if my loved one refuses to go to the doctor?\n\n\n\nWhat should I do if I am unhappy with the care from a doctor?\n\n\n\n\nAbout the Expert:  \n\n\n\nDr. Komatsu is currently the Medical Director of Doak Center for Palliative Care at Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center in Torrance and San Pedro. In 2017\, he helped launch Iyashi Care in partnership with Keiro\, which provides community-based palliative care services for the Japanese American and Japanese communities in Los Angeles and Orange Counties. Dr. Komatsu has been very interested in improving the quality of care for patients and families and mitigating caregiver burnout in health care.
