Keiro Senior HealthCare gratefully recognizes volunteer groups for their invaluable contributions of time and support on behalf of the residents and seniors in Our Community. As part of Keiro’s 50th anniversary commemorative recognition, Keiro is pleased to announce the creation of the Service Wall.
The Service Wall acknowledges volunteer groups, organizations, and clubs that have supported Keiro throughout our nearly 50 year history. This permanent mural listing volunteer groups will be installed on the walls of the Keiro Activity Center Auditorium. Groups that have volunteered time, or helped to generate support for Keiro will be represented.
Groups that have volunteered for Keiro are asked to complete a Community Group Information Form by December 31, 2010 to be considered for inclusion/listing as part of the Service Wall.
The Service Wall Unveiling will take place on June 25, 2011 as one of Keiro’s 50th anniversary celebration events. Community groups are encouraged to attend!

Community Group Information Form
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: If my temple/church has more than one group that has helped Keiro, can they all be included or will Keiro only list the church/temple?
A: Keiro wants to recognize ALL the different groups that have participated. There may be multiple groups from the same church/temple (organization) For example: a single organization may have a scout troop, a seniors group, a professionals group that all may be affiliated with that church/temple. Each of those groups would be listed separately—if they have all volunteered for Keiro at any time between 1961-2010.
Q: What if we don’t have all the answers to your questions, but we know our group has volunteered for Keiro. Can we still turn in a Community Group Information Form and be included on Keiro’s Service Wall?
A: We encourage all groups that have volunteered with Keiro to complete (to the best of their knowledge) and return the form by December 31, 2010. Since Keiro doesn’t know your group as well as the group’s members, we’ve asked each group to identify and describe their relationship with Keiro. We realize that some groups have evolved over time—many members may no longer be active with the group and some of the group’s history may not be documented. That’s okay. We’ve also invited groups to submit a recent and historic photo. We are compiling information and images that may be used to depict volunteer support for Keiro through the years. We are particularly interested in images from 1961-2000.
Q: I’ve volunteered on my own with Keiro for many years and belong to “XYZ Group.” Will Keiro recognize “XYZ Group” because of my individual participation?
A: No. The Service Wall is designed to recognize GROUP volunteer participation. Individuals who are registered volunteers with Keiro are acknowledged each year for their involvement.
Q: How can my group get a Community Group Information Form?
A: Several ways: 1) A Community Group Information Form may be downloaded from Keiro’s website: www.keiro.org/servicewall 2) At Keiro Facilities – see the Activity Manager 3) Contact Resource Development – (323) 980-7513
Q: How do I know if the group I belong to has already completed a Community Group Information Form?
A: A listing of volunteer groups that have returned a Community Group Form to Keiro will be posted on Keiro’s website: www.keiro.org/servicewall. Or contact Yoshie Le Sieur: ylesieur@keiro.org (323) 980-7582.
Q: When is the deadline to return the Community Group Information Form?
A: The form must be received by Keiro by December 31, 2010. Final design of the Service Wall and installation will occur in late 2011, during Keiro’s 50th Anniversary year.
Q: If my group is interested in making a financial donation in honor of Keiro’s 50th Anniversary, how can we do this?
A: As a not-for-profit organization, Keiro is grateful for contributions of time and financial support. Contributions can be made at any time to Resource Development, through any of Keiro’s facilities, or online. Special 50th Anniversary commemorative recognition will permanently acknowledge donors whose cumulative contributions are $10,000+ (from 1961 to December 31, 2010). The Cumulative Donor Wall will be permanently installed in the Administration Building in 2012. Donate Now
