Energy, dedication, compassion and care--these are just a few of the words that describe the staff at Keiro.

As we headed toward our 50th year, we celebrated the contributions of volunteers, residents and founders who have made Keiro a very special place. In 2010, we recognized the many dedicated staff members who value the quality and traditions behind the meaning in the words “WE CARE” at Keiro.

Nothing illustrates better the dedication of the staff than the longevity of their employment. It is not uncommon to see workers who celebrate 10, 20, 30 or more years. In fact, almost 60 of Keiro’s staff members have been at Keiro for 20 or more years.

What makes Keiro’s staff so special is the heartfelt dedication that they exhibit day in and day out as they deliver sensitive, personalized care to each resident. Individuals become team players often going above and beyond to help a resident or family member in need.

Not only is there quality in the basic care for the residents, but many staff members who are not Japanese speakers have taken the time and effort to learn and understand Japanese phrases. Beyond language, a smile is always understood.

Keiro’s care for its residents is in the hands of over 570 dedicated, caring and compassionate employees which contribute greatly to the high quality of life and “genki living” at Keiro.
